Root Canals

For many years, root canals have had the reputation of being a complicated and difficult dental procedure. However, we’re happy to tell you that root canals at our Pittsburgh dental office are comfortable and stress-free.

We understand the bad reputation that root canals have, and we know that telling you how things have changed may not do much to lessen your anxiety. But we can assure you that Dr. Martik and our highly trained professional team have years of experience performing safe, efficient root canal treatment.

Root Canals Save Teeth

When a tooth is severely damaged to the point where its inner core becomes infected, we may recommend root canal therapy. During root canal therapy, we will administer an anesthetic to ensure your comfort. Our dental team then uses precise state-of-the-art dental instruments to remove infected tissue and nerves inside the damaged tooth.

Once this step is finished, we sterilize the hollow space and reseal the tooth to preserve functionality. A root canal will save a tooth that, left untreated, would quickly deteriorate, causing pain, extensive infection, and possible tooth loss.

Your Complete Comfort Is Our Top Priority

Prompt, Efficient Treatment

It’s important that root canal infection be treated as quickly as possible to save your tooth and protect your oral health. If we determine that you need a root canal, we will make arrangements to see you as soon as possible. In most cases, we can efficiently complete root canals in just one appointment. We’ll get you in, out, and on with your life.
